Stage-by-stage
Week 0: consultation and site measurement
Free site visit, requirement discussion, detailed measurements. For older homes, a check of electrical capacity, plumbing and damp.
Weeks 1–3: design
Space plan, mood board, then 3D views of each room with revisions. This ends with a line-item BOQ and material samples you sign off. Most delays start here — every extra round of revisions pushes everything else.
Week 3–4: society paperwork and site preparation
In gated communities: NOC, work-hour rules, service lift booking, debris disposal. Civil work, point shifting and plumbing begin.
Weeks 4–7: factory production and site work in parallel
Modular kitchen and wardrobes are manufactured (about 15–20 days) while electrical, false ceiling and first coats of paint happen on site. Running these in parallel is what makes a 45–60 day timeline possible.
Weeks 7–9: installation
Kitchen, wardrobes and units installed; counter tops fitted; lights and fittings installed.
Weeks 9–10: finishing and handover
Final paint coat, soft furnishing, snag list, deep clean, handover with warranty documents.
What delays Chennai projects
- Late design decisions. Changing the kitchen layout after production starts can cost two weeks.
- Society rules. Limited work hours, no work on Sundays, lift booking slots. Plan for them upfront.
- Hidden civil issues. Seepage, old wiring or broken plumbing found after demolition.
